 Childbirth Education Classes

 

Communication, Comfort & Positions-

In this 2 hour class, we will discuss how you view birth and how you think your partner feels about birth in order to open a dialogue to better understand each other’s views regarding childbirth. Medical and non-medical comfort techniques and different birthing positions will be taught and practiced in order to assist in a more positive birthing experience.

Birth: The Process, The Pain & The Positions-

In this 3 hour class, we will open a dialogue to better understand how you and your partner view childbirth. A handout to help guide you in creating a written plan that includes your wishes and hopes for your birthing time will be provided and reviewed. You will learn the stages of labor and the various fetal positions. And of course, medical and non-medical comfort techniques and different birthing positions will be taught and practiced in order to assist in a more positive birthing experience.

$125 / 3 hours

 

The How, When and Why Childbirth Education Class

In this complete childbirth class all things labor and birth will be discussed including: 

  • Birth Plan with Hopes and Wishes

  • Prenatal Testing

 Postpartum & Newborn Classes

 

Postpartum Planning class

The 4th Trimester or postpartum period is the first 12 weeks after the baby is born. This should be a time of rest and healing for you as you have just gone through a huge transformation, both mentally and physically. 

In this 45 min-1 hour class, we will discuss ways to make the postpartum period less stressful and more enjoyable. 

Topics include:

  • Importance of planning your postpartum

  • What to expect in the postpartum period

  • Postpartum wellness

  • Your ideal postpartum

  • Creating a support team

Cost: $50 per couple

 

Newborn Knowledge

In this 2.5-3 hour class, we will discuss the basics of newborn behavior and care as well as various parenting philosophies. The goal is to help you feel more confident in your parenting style and decisions. 

A few of the topics we will cover are:

  • Feeding

  • Diapering

  • Sleeping

  • Bathing

  • Soothing techniques
